Peer Mentor Program

To more effectively disseminate valuable information regarding the major, the Yale College Dean Office has established an informal peer mentoring system. Peer mentors are juniors and seniors in a major selected and trained to convey advice and information to their peers, as a way of increasing and diversifying mentoring resources within majors. Peer mentors meet with prospective and current majors to provide advice and information regarding Computer Science and Economics. They can answer questions about what it’s like to major in Computer Science and Economics, what classes you may wish to take in the major, how you find a research opportunity, and so on. Occasionally, mentors will hold community-building events in the major and participate in the academic fairs for first- and second-year students.

First- and second-year students are encouraged to contact any of the peer mentors with questions about Computer Science and Economics and to attend their events.

Please note that peer mentors may not sign schedules or any other official Yale College forms.
